The Glorious Cheddar Carboot

Cheddar carboot is hands down the best carboot I have ever been too, and probably ever will! Its on rain or shine all year round. Even on rainy days its still worth a visit as they have a huge in-door hanger as well as a massive outside space. I thought it was about time to share some of the goodies I have been finding over the past few weeks. Every Sunday I usually wake up and head out there for an hour or so (longer in summer as the whole field is full). The great thing is the things I am looking for means I do not need to be there at stupid o’clock.

What I would say is that I think its hard to find clothes / shoes. It is better in the summer when there is much more of a range of stall holders.

Both sets £3.50 for 6 x teacups and saucers

In the past few weeks I have been incredibly busy with my new job, which I am loving. So unfortunately vintage hunting was put on the back burner but now have been getting back on track. I popped to Weston Hospice on Worle Highstreet on my lunch Thursday last week and what treats I found.

Two lots of 6 x teacups and saucers for £3.50
Vintage teapot £3

£1.50 for these three

Today I made a quick visit to Cheddar carboot sale and spent all of £15 on some lovely pieces, in particular my new marble side table. One of my old managers at Dew Gibbons had the best taste and she had a beautiful table in the basement (she never wanted to sell it). I managed to find an almost exact replica but the top is real marble rather than imitation… happy days.

Suitcase £1
Marble side table £5
Weighing scales 50p
Bottles 10p each
French tin 50p
Vintage sign £2
